Ya’ll, the flavor combo of this Organic Mango Pineapple Lemonade Smoothie is the bomb!
On a whim, I decided to experiment with using organic lemonade for this smoothie instead of the usual rice milk. (I used my Easy To Remember Organic Fruit Smoothie Recipe)
I actually used half apple juice and half organic lemonade. Sounds weird- tastes amazing!
Turns out, lemonade tastes SO good with mango and pineapple! And you can’t taste the apple juice at all– it just adds sweetness to balance out the sourness of the lemonade and pineapple.
I also threw in a banana which really rounds out the flavor profile of this yummy Organic Mango Pineapple Lemonade Smoothie!
Don’t I sound fancy using the words ‘flavor profile’ ?
The frozen organic pineapple chunks I used for this smoothie were actually LEFTOVER from the girls’ school lunches earlier in the week.
I threw the leftover pineapple chunks into a baggie, and threw the baggie into the freezer. I’m so glad I did ’cause it made an awesome smoothie!
I wish I could fin organic frozen pineapple in stores, but so far I have not found it anywhere.
But heck, after tasting this Organic Mango Pineapple Lemonade Smoothie, I just might go to the trouble to prep frozen pineapple on a regular basis.
Might. I said MIGHT.
- 1 cup organic frozen mango chunks
- 1 cup organic frozen pineapple chunks
- 1 cup organic lemonade
- 1 cup apple juice
- 2 Tablespoons vanilla extract
- 4 Tablespoons maple syrup
- (Doubled Easy To Remember Organic Fruit Smoothie Recipe)
- 1 large banana
- Blend all ingredients on high and serve. Garnish with fresh mango chunks if you wanna be fancy.
