I buy all of our organic spaghetti and organic penne pasta in bulk from Costco. One bulk package typically lasts us 3 months.
The organic spaghetti costs $6.99 for a pack of 6, so that comes out to just over a dollar per 1 lb. pckg. of organic spaghetti! Not bad!
The organic penne pasta costs a little more. At $8.89 per 6 pack, it costs a whopping $1.50 per package. Where can you find 1.1 lb. packages of imported organic penne pasta for $1.50 per package? Costco is awesome.
We typically eat spaghetti or penne once or twice a week. We all love pasta, and fortunately we seem to be one of the few families that isn’t gluten sensitive (knock on wood).
We rarely eat alphabet pasta. I bought a box online from Eden Foods several months ago and we’ve only eaten about half the box. I honestly don’t even remember how much I paid for it.
I love the fact that the organic spaghetti and penne pastas are imported from Italy. It makes me feel like I’m buying a high-quality product! Italy = pasta. Right?
What did you say? Have I ever taken Logic 101? Nope- never heard of it.
Anyway, onto some recipes. . . here are some of our favorite ways to enjoy organic pasta. . .
