My family has a love/hate relationship with this Organic Cheesy Butternut Squash Pasta. The three oldest of us love it, and the two youngest hate it.
So I try not to make it too often. But whenever we have organic butternut squash hanging around, this is the first recipe that comes to mind.
It is very easy to cook the sauce ahead of time in the slow cooker. Once it’s cooked, blend it up in the blender and pour over the pasta just before serving!
Serve it with a salad, or some pastured pork sausage patties!
The cheese sauce recipe is my Slow Cooker Vegan ‘Cheese’ Sauce. I love making the sauce in the slow cooker, because I can get it started in the morning and then forget about it until dinnertime.
All I have to do before dinner is cook the pasta and blend the ‘cheese’ sauce!
I usually use organic penne or curly pasta, but any pasta would work!
