Organic Bananas With Milk, Honey, And Cinnamon aka After-School Snack Extraordinaire!
Sometimes a ‘recipe’ is really nothing more than a reminder that certain flavor combinations will make your taste buds dance.
Like Imperfect Organic Cinnamon Toast, Bananas With Milk And Honey is a simple food that I grew up eating. It’s a dish that seems too tasty to be as easy, healthy and economical as it is!
And my kids absolutely love it!
Plus, the kids can fix this snack themselves.
Did you hear me? THE KIDS CAN FIX THIS SNACK THEMSELVES! Really! Like, from start to finish! In fact, here’s a picture of my five year old slicing her banana (with a table knife) in case you need proof. . .
And here’s another one in case you don’t believe me. . .
She prefers organic sugar over honey.
Aaand she can pour the milk herself since organic rice milk from Costco comes in nifty, 1 qt. containers. And if it’s homemade almond milk, she can pour that too since I store it in nifty 1 qt. pitchers from Ikea.
Oh and organic bananas only cost $.69 per lb. That’s like, 20 cents per banana! They’re definitely a ‘fruit bowl staple’ around here.
Organic Bananas With Milk, Honey, and Cinnamon is also one of the kids’ favorite Sunday evening dinners. . .or breakfasts. Need I say more? You’ve gotta add this easy, healthy, tasty, and economical snack to your organic snacks/breakfasts rotation!!
