I made the girls some fruit smoothies yesterday, and just for fun decided to add a couple spoonfuls of almond yogurt (post on how to make this coming soon!). It tasted delicious, adding a rich, tangy flavor as well as extra fiber to the fresh, citrus-y smoothies. It reminded me of a mango lassi-which I think I will try next!
1 c. ice
1 c. water
1/2 c. OJ frozen concentrate (about 2 big serving spoonfuls)
1 c. pineapple chunks (I use canned)
1 c. fresh mango chunks
1/2 c. almond pulp yogurt
1 ripe banana
Combine all ingredients except banana in blender and blend well.
Add banana and blend for 5-10 more seconds.
