OK guys, I’m trying not to brag. But I’m SO proud of myself for coming up with this Easy Organic Every Day Granola recipe!
You see, it’s the solution to a problem.
The problem is that I don’t make homemade granola often enough.
(Can we say ‘first world problem?)
Homemade granola is so healthy, my kids LOVE it, and I can make it 100% organic for super-cheap!
So I wish I made it more often. 🙁
Why don’t I? Well, because looking up the recipe is a pain. I think if I could just throw it together in the evening after washing the dinner dishes, I probably WOULD make it more often!
It’s hard to believe that I’m too lazy to look up a recipe, but when you’re tired, just adding that one step to cooking really can seem overwhelming!
So what’s the solution? Simplify my life by making up a granola recipe that is so EASY to REMEMBER that it’s INSTANTLY MEMORIZED!
After fiddling with ingredients a few times, I’ve come up with this Easy Organic Every Day Granola recipe!
Plus, this 100% organic granola is a bargain compared to a similar product at the grocery store. 100% organic granola at the grocery store typically costs at least $4.00 per 16 oz. box. I can make twice as much or more for just $ 2.00!
4 cups of oats
3 cups of anything else granola-y (like raisins, ground flax seed, nuts, puffed millet, etc. . .)
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of salt
1 Tablespoon vanilla
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup honey
Pretty easy, right?
- 4 cups organic rolled oats
- 3 cups anything 'granol-y'- dried fruit, ground flax seeds, chia seeds, puffed millet, nuts, etc. . .
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup honey
- ½ cup olive oil
- Combine dry ingredients.
- Combine wet ingredients and add to dry ingredients.
- Spread mixture onto a large baking sheet.
- Bake at 325 for 25-30 minutes.
