Chocolate Subutter Banana Whip! I think we can all agree that I can’t take credit for the base of this recipe. Recipes for frozen banana ‘ice-cream’, aka Banana Whip, are all over the internet.
But I’ve ju-u-st gotten around to giving this wonderful invention a try. And boy, am I glad! This stuff is awesome! And my kids LOVE it! I usually make a basic version of Banana Whip with just honey and vanilla, but this time I got fancy. . .
I added organic SUNBUTTER to this chocolatey goodness.
Oh boy, is it good!!
3-4 bananas, frozen in chunks
1/2 t. cinnamon
2 t. vanilla extract
1/4 c. sunflower seed butter
1/4 c. honey
1/4 c. dry cocoa
Combine half the banana chunks with all other ingredients in blender and blend on high until smooth.
Add remaining banana chunks and blend until fluffy and large chunks are blended in.
Serve immediately or place in freezer for 4 hours. (or longer if you want a firm ice-cream texture)
